Douglas K. Rosenblum is a partner of the nationwide Qui Tam/False Claims Act practice group of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP. Mr. Rosenblum is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office and also concentrates his practice in the areas of white collar criminal defense and commercial litigation. Mr. Rosenblum is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rosenblum served as a commercial litigation associate at a well-respected law firm in Philadelphia and was an Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. At the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Rosenblum served in the pretrial and major crimes units before becoming the Captain of the Firearms Unit of the Trials Division. In that capacity, Mr. Rosenblum was sworn as a Special Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting violent criminals in federal court under Project Safe Neighborhoods. Mr. Rosenblum has received commendations for successfully prosecuting criminal defendants for charges ranging from theft and burglary to robbery and murder.
Mr. Rosenblum has served as Co-Chair of the ABA White Collar Crime Committee’s Philadelphia Young Lawyers’ Division and has served as both Chair and Vice-Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Rules of Criminal Court Committee. Mr. Rosenblum has also served as an arbitrator in the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County. Mr. Rosenblum also served on the Villanova Law Alumni Association Board of Advisors for a two-year term.
Mr. Rosenblum volunteers as an attorney for abused and neglected children through the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. Mr. Rosenblum is the Founder of the Hedda L. Komins Fund for Breast Cancer Research and Prevention at Fox Chase Cancer Center and has previously served on the Board of Directors of a nonprofit corporation supporting athletics and education.
Mr. Rosenblum has been recognized by Chambers USA in the area of Litigation: White Collar Crime & Government Investigations in Pennsylvania. He has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer since 2014 in the area of White Collar Criminal Defense. Mr. Rosenblum was, previously, named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2010 through 2013. The Best Lawyers in America® has recognized Mr. Rosenblum since 2021 for his practice in Criminal Defense: White-Collar and Corporate Compliance Law. Mr. Rosenblum received his B.S. in Accountancy, magna cum laude, with a minor in Spanish, from Villanova University. He received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, where he was a member of the Environmental Law Journal and National Mock Trial Team and received the David E. Worby Scholarship for Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Rosenblum is admitted to practice in all state courts within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Rosenblum is a frequent lecturer on the federal and state False Claims Acts, as well as the IRS whistleblower program.
